TEAM CONDE RACING

CR33 is the flagship project of Team Conde Racing, an independent team founded by two Portuguese brothers, Renato and Gilberto Conde — built without external funding or partners, at a shipyard in Gafanha da Nazaré.

Renato has spent his career at the top level of the sport — with the Mapfre team in the Ocean Race, as shore crew for two America’s Cup campaigns (Team SoftBank Japan and INEOS Team UK), and as bowman for the SAP Extreme Sailing Team in the GC32 class, one of the circuit’s leading teams. That path led him to the Rockwool Denmark SailGP Team, where he saw the gap up close: a packed SailGP calendar and the logistics and cost of specialised infrastructure make it nearly impossible for most sailors to train consistently outside events.

Gilberto leads the technical side — designing the foils and mechanisms — and together the brothers have put in the hours, turning the gap Renato identified into a boat.
